I lead the Board of Papatango Theatre Company in governance of the award-winning new writing theatre company, ensuring the company fulfils its charitable aims, ensures the trust of its varied stakeholders and offering support, strategic thinking and stretch in my capacity as ‘critical friend’ to the Executive Director and Artistic Director.

I was one of the 2022 Clore Fellowship cohort (Duffield Fellow, supported by the Clore Duffield Foundation, aimed at leaders looking to lead large-scale arts organisations). My fellowship involved an extended period of mentoring, training and development, including mentorship from Helen Marriage, Artistic Director or Artichoke, and a secondment at Factory International/Aviva Studios, in the months leading up to the opening of the venue and Manchester International Festival 2023. I represented the UK and/or international rights for 85 British and international writers. This included; editorial engagement with fiction and non-fiction, handling submissions of proposals and manuscripts to prominent publishers worldwide, as well as cultivating the status of established classics and backlist titles, negotiating book deals as well as newspaper syndication and permissions, and supervising the publication process.

I assisted, at various points, three senior agents, including the agency director, supporting them in matters related to their clients. I also managed all permission requests that came into the agency.

Part of the Bruntwood Prize/Royal Exchange Theatre’s freelance reading team, reading scripts and writing script reports.

I co-founded and co-led artistically and strategically the Arts Council funded contemporary theatre company, Babel Theatre, which makes work for performance and touring in the UK. I led the company through three successful Grants for the Arts applications and booked and managed a regional tour of a new play, You Must Be The One To Bury Me.
