Achievements: Quality Award 2022 for highest clinical outcomes/best patient care given to one acute behavioral hospital in the UHS system. Chairman’s Council Award recipient 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2023. Eagle Award 2021 for excellence in leadership, financial performance, clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. 2020 Service Excellence Award for exceptional customer service. I am currently the CEO at Canyon Ridge Hospital in Chino, CA. Canyon Ridge is one of the many hospitals that are part of Universal Health Services. I came to UHS because of it's vision and to learn more about healthcare from an industry leader. I am very proud to be a part of the UHS family. Formerly I was an Administrator at Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine for 5 years. I had the opportunity to enhance many of the Pediatric service lines through business development, talent acquisition and implementation of evidence-based, best practices. We were recognized as the first free-standing psychiatric hospital to achieve magnet status. Prior to 2011, I was the Program Manager at Northeast Occupational Exchange (a community mental health and substance abuse agency) for 9 years. We had a robust program with a specialized school for children with emotional/behavioral disabilities, which I founded in 2004. I have worked in behavioral health since returning to Maine in 2001. I also have extensive experience in education and business. I co-owned and operated two franchises of Sylvan Learning Centers in San Jose, CA from 1997-2001, which were very successful fiscally along with student outcomes. I have a passion for business and operations and enjoy the ever-changing landscape of healthcare.
