I lead a global team of eleven materials specialists supporting >750 operating facilities for the world's largest hydrogen producer who is expanding rapidly into the carbon capture and green hydrogen space. I develop the strategic direction for the team and foster the individual growth and career development of my team members. I actively build connections between my team and adjacent disciplines, primarily mechanical engineering, to encourage exchange of ideas and belonging of my team within the wider organization. While providing caring, thoughtful, respectful guidance and encouragement to all of my eleven team members in time zones around the globe, I also provide world class materials support in the areas of nonmetallic materials, metal dusting corrosion, and aluminum diffusion coatings at an individual contributor level. Served as chair for a year and then cochair for the remainder of my term with Spectrum. Took the group from a position of collapse and turned the organization around, increasing membership by 80% in my first year and becoming one of the flagship ERGs in Air Products. Within two years we had a European chapter created for our UK and Spain locations, which continues to this day.Under my guidance we developed a new mission and vision for the group as our starting point, then identified our goals, prioritized, and set actionable and meaningful goals for the group. This work led to our launching within nine months our Ally Basic Skills workshop, which provided education and actionable skills for our employees to support the creation of a more inclusive work environment. We relaunched the ally magnet program, again to raise awareness and improve the inclusiveness of the workplace, which was our primary mission. I arranged to have the Pride flag flown in front of our headquarters, the first time this had ever been done in Air Products’ 75-year history. Our work on the ally workshop we were able to convert into an interactive workshop for other companies looking to expand their own workplace inclusion and ally programs. This peer to peer workshop was given at the Out and Equal workplace summit in 2016 in Philadelphia and was extremely successful. At the time we applied for the workshop we were only given permission to attend because we got a presenter discount on registration. One year later I was able to use our ERG’s growth within the company and our success at Out and Equal in 2016 to secure a formal sponsorship for the Out and Equal conference. Our company continues to sooo sit Out and Equal and we send a whole contingent each year. Our efforts have been used as the foundation for a full scale ally program for all 12 ERGs at Air Products. Air Products continues to provide community support as well which was a relationship I sustained and grew.

Part of a global team that supports materials needs for our plants and supply chain, which ranges from small shipping containers like drums, totes, and cylinders, to full scale world class hydrogen plants and air separation units. I am responsible for handling nonmetallic materials issues, whether that is component failures or material recommendations. I primarily deal with plastics and composites, like HDPE, PTFE, and FRP. I also provide advice on inspection and maintenance protocols for these materials. In addition to my nonmetallic materials responsibilities, I also provide technical advice and perform research on metal dusting corrosion and techniques to prevent it, whether through alloy selection or coating application.
