I currently work with non-profit clients who require support with their fundraising, database management or administrative processes, as well as unique one-time projects. My approach is simplistic but effective. I tend to rely on common sense and practical solutions while supporting non-profits with their challenges and problems. I always start with an exploratory conversation about what challenges the team is facing and how I can help. We'll work together to gather a list of resources and make sure that they are the right tools for the job. My goal with every client it to leave them in a position where they no longer need a consultant because my expertise has been transferred to their staff.

Working alongside a passionate team, I am building communities and strengthening non-profits so they can focus on their missions and stop wasting precious time and money. After securing a $1,000,000 gift to build a new facility, my passions collided in this dream role: my love of non profits and my love of birds! I am so proud and honoured to have been the first ever Executive team member of Canada's oldest Public aviary. In partnership with the Board of Directors, I developed and executed strategic plans, programs and policies to meet organizational goals and objectives.My time as Interim Executive Director was all about building and strengthening. I created policies, procedures, programs, fundraising and marketing plans, administrative and finance processes to get the Aviary well setup for a future executive to run with. Perhaps the element I am most proud of, is that I rekindled a diminishing bond with the community. Hamilton has had an aviary since 1928 and now the generational memory of that will continue to thrive.
