One of my key achievements was the delivery of Triage, an automated system to predict and proactively prevent failures in the Edmunds.com live environment. Triage is a complex expert system that I designed that includes integration points with WaveFront, Splunk, Elasticsearch, AppDynamics, VictorOps, AWS EC2, AWS ECS and a collection of home-grown solutions. • Chief Innovator of the Edmunds.com Spring-based environment monitor, called AMP. This application determines the current health of all environments via integration code I architected, designed and developed with tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Zabbix, Elasticsearch, Redshift, CloudWatch, Zenoss and a home-grown health-check system. This AMP application is part of the Edmunds.com Continuous Delivery pipeline, allowing an automated determination as to whether an environment is healthy before triggering performance testing and rotating the environment into live traffic.• Chief Innovator of the Edmunds.com DevOps Continuous Delivery pipeline. This pipeline orchestrates the completely automated movement of code from check-in, through unit, functional and performance-testing, all the way to the production environment. This reduced the duration of releases from 3 weeks to approximately 3 hours. As part of this, I integrated Edmunds tools with Jenkins, JMeter, Nexus and Perforce.

Full lifecycle development of a web booking engine in Java/SOA. • Designed, developed and performed end-to-end system testing of a SOA/EJB/DAO/Hibernate-based booking component for the company web booking engine.• Developed DAO's, Hibernate objects, session and message-driven beans listening to queues and topics.• Developed, tested and completed certification on clients to consume B2B web services. JAXB was primarily used to marshal Java objects into XML messages.• Designed, developed and tested many new and enhanced features of the web booking engine by each release date, resulting in successful on-time releases.
