After decades of leading turnarounds and profitable growth for The Hartford, I now apply my expertise as an independent board director for insurance brokers in the US and UK. I am a valued voice to C-suites and boards on risk appetite, modern compensation strategy, compelling investor messaging, and translating innovation and analytics into business results. Most recently, I drove year-over-year growth of The Hartford Financial Services Group’s $8B Small Commercial and Personal Lines businesses, representing ~40% of the company’s core earnings. Always looking for the next opportunity for disruption, I secured significant capital to invest in innovation and helped drive strategic advantage through the application of AI/GenAI. I also regularly interacted with analysts, rating agencies, and investors through earnings calls and investor days.I joined The Hartford after graduating from the University of St. Louis-Missouri, developing a passion for innovation after rising to become SVP of Applied Research, then mobilizing a turnaround of the company’s Middle Market Division. I then stepped away for four years to lead Travelers Personal Insurance Product Management organization, including a nearly $8B P&L, returning to The Hartford in 2013.
