-Correspond with state legislatures to develop a State Foster & Adoption Caucus-Develop child welfare policy as a SUN Fellow

-work as a peer mentor with students who have experienced foster care and adoption-attend conferences and workshops to share evidence based practices on trauma informed pedagogy in the context of higher education

I was able to intern under the Internal Audit department. I was able to use excel and word documents to cross references pages of documents and correct any mistakes made by of business clients. I was also able to meet with many of our clients to update them on any changes I made to their documentation and what needed to be fixed on their end. I learned all about the world of internal audit and gained many new skills.

-Worked with a group of coworkers to lead high school students in furthering their educational career to college by guiding them as they experience the life of a collegiate student through the federal TRIO program -Assisted in the classroom setting when needed by the students to accomplish their educational goals

-worked as an AmeriCorps member through the YWCA -Implement and differentiate lesson plans to accommodate a diverse group of learners through effective classroom pedagogy - Assist the classroom teacher in conflict resolution and building a communicative classroom learning environment of positive discourse
