Student Bursary Officer with twenty years' experience in the Further Education sector, I have amassed a wealth of knowledge and skills in Further Education funding and student support. My priority is to maximise student experience, minimise financial barriers to learning and enhance their wellbeing, resulting in well-rounded individuals who have positive student experiences. I am proud of the strong working relationships I have built with colleagues across disciplines and levels of seniority, including Safeguarding and Welfare and Finance colleagues, as well as the trusting connections forged with students and their representatives. I am highly organised, balancing a busy and varied workload with competing and time-sensitive deadlines. I manage my individual workload alongside supervising and mentoring junior staff and apprentices, ensuring tasks are delegated amongst those with the most appropriate skills sets. I am the face of the Bursary for many within the organisation and have excellent interpersonal skills, dealing with daily queries face to face, over the phone, via email and over Teams chats. I have a strong work ethic and take huge pride in the service I provide to our students and the local community.
