CurrentLeads a team of designers to support Hearst Television's broadcast newscasts in 27 markets. Manages ~2200 requests weekly, running 24/7/365. One of the first of four managers to deploy HTV’s internal centralized design hub in 2012. Hired staff growing from initial 14 to 32 in 2024. Trained colleagues both internally and externally on proprietary software, helped challenge and grow design team skillset and promote designers into advanced roles. Acts as a liaison between graphics hub and all levels of news, marketing, station, and corporate management. Collaborates with producers, managers, and designers on graphic requests from concept to completion, and keeps projects on schedule.Oversees weekly graphic production for “Matter of Fact with Soledad O'Brien”, America's number one nationally syndicated news magazine now in its 10th season. MOF reaches 96% of U.S. local television markets.Responsibilities:Supervise assignment editors and designersEnforce compliance of HTV Design graphics style guideProvide extraordinary customer service for client stationsCoordinate on-going training programs for designersManage a proactive hiring plan to ensure the continued strong staff of designers and sustain a recruiting planConduct annual performance reviews for designers and assignment editorsDistribution and tracking of elevated projects for designers to inspire, teach and motivateExecute the staffing schedule to accommodate 24/7/365 graphic support for 28 local stations
