Assist executive leadership with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to transportation.Build and maintain professional relationships with members of federal, state, and local government entities and agencies; Monitor, evaluate and respond to all written communications and requests for information; Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting the department and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them; Monitor, evaluate and respond to legislative activity that will have an impact on the department; Develop a communications and outreach plan that helps maintain legislative relationships with of federal, state, and local government entities and agencies; Develop a strategic plan for external governmental funding opportunities; Collaborates with industry advocates to build areas of common interest; Introduces legislative and public policy changes that will support department operations and transportation leadership in the regional area.

Provide C-suite administrative support with major responsibilities being organizing the daily appearances of the Executive Director of DDOT; supervising administrative staff; coordinating cell phone distribution; monitoring and tracking departmental projects, special requests, City Council line items and reports to ensure timely and accurate responses; coordinating travel arrangements; providing project management, writing, analytical and administrative support for policy initiatives.

Provided administrative support to the shift supervisors of the 2nd Precinct which included writing police reports given by citizens, maintaining manpower minimum and scheduling overtime as needed and other administrative duties as assigned. Completed searches in State of Michigan Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) and Offender Watch as assigned.
