I am a Partner in the Environment team at MinterEllisonRuddWatts. I specialise in all aspects of environmental and resource management law. I advise public, private and corporate clients on a broad range of matters involving environmental consenting, planning, environmental policy development, dispute resolution, compliance/enforcement and due diligence. I regularly appear for clients at hearings on various environmental matters before district and regional councils, decision making panels and the courts.I have a particular interest in climate change and regularly advise clients on New Zealand’s evolving response to climate change and the risks and opportunities for business. I am sought after for advice on the mechanics of the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme, including participation, trading and compliance matters.I also have local government experience, having previously worked in the Regulatory Services department at Auckland Regional Council (now Auckland Council) contributing to their air quality and coastal consents and compliance teams.
