Procurement process consultant

Responsible for the overall management of for all activities related to material control, inventory control, shipping/receiving, warehouse and stores functions, asset disposal and vendor-managed inventory oversight. Effectively supervise activities and requirements of the Warehouse Supervisors such as: monitor performance and provide performance reviews; ensure adequate shift coverage for all warehouse personnel: scheduling; ensure appropriate and required training is completed, including the proper use of system functions; process and procedure alignment; monitor behavior and provide positive feedback and corrective action as necessary. Ensures training and audits are completed to ensure compliance of SOX controls and warehouse policies/procedures. Contributes to Warehouse reputation by instilling customer service excellence with the team and by monitoring and responding to site perceptions of the Warehouse, managing expectations and taking appropriate initiatives to improve service and image. Also in charge of Asset Disposal facilitation, month end reconciliation review/approval, new stock request approvals for site level inventory, and direct charge to credit into inventory facilitation. Provide input and guidance to maximize usage of the warehouse areas including any warehouse yards and satellite warehouses through pre-planning, strategic planning and layout modification.

Verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and the optimization of site inventories. Instilling customer service excellence with team and by monitoring and responding to site perceptions of the Warehouse, managing expectations and taking appropriate initiatives to improve service and image. Supervise security of warehouse facilities, inventory, equipment and operating supplies against loss or damage. Ability to maximize usage of the warehouse areas including any warehouse yards and satellite warehouses through pre-planning, strategic planning and layout modification. Develop and maintain high housekeeping standards at warehouse facilities. Manage receipt, storage and distribution of warehouse inventory: Assure appropriate standards and guidelines are adhered to with receiving, labeling, stocking, order filling, issuing and shipping of inventory and direct buy goods and maintaining appropriate stock records. Responsible for maintaining optimum stocking levels in support of efficient mining operations and plans for future requirements based on operational needs, production schedules and forecasts. Coordinate with Procurement, Material Control, Suppliers and Accounts Payable to ensure a timely and effective purchase-to-pay process related to warehouse inventory and resolution of any inventory/accounting related issues. Coordinate with Suppliers and Asset Disposal Coordinator, the return to Supplier of over shipped or damaged goods and ensure proper credit is received. Facilitation of offsite repair. Credit returns management. Perform random audits on Vendor Managed Inventory supplier deliveries and Purchase Order facilitation. Collection of asset disposal information. Conduct reviews on items such as temporary stock & non-stock with stock on hand. Management of negative stock on hand, new stock/nonstock with stock on hand with no locations review, weigh tickets, outstanding warehouse requisition

The Material Control Analyst is responsible for the integrity of the Ellipse Master Materials Catalog and related coding to include additions to the catalog, maintenance of current items, oversight of catalog process and training of users in catalog related areas. The Material Control Analyst is also a primary contact for data retrieval related to Ellipse procurement, inventory, accounts payable and catalog information as it relates to other departments through queries or Ellipse reports. Coordination of procurement / material control system and automation processes is also a key responsibility.
