We review all incoming requests for clinical decision support in the form of pop-up alerts and ensure the proposed alert is seen by the necessary care team members at the ideal time in their workflow. As a leader in bone health, we earned the "Star Performer" designation from the American Orthopaedic Association's (AOA) Own the Bone registry. For this designation, Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals have been featured in the Best Hospitals issue of the U.S. News & World Report for the past several years. Due to our recognition, I was invited to present on osteoporosis management both nationally and locally. I was also an active member of the Service Line Executive Division (SLED) for the Musculoskeletal (MSK) team. I was the Process Owner of a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt project focused on reducing the length of stay in hip fracture patients. I functioned as a bedside nurse on a busy medical step-down unit, providing evidence based nursing care. I enjoyed precepting and mentoring nursing students and graduate nurses. Through my involvement on two unit-based councils, Quality and Safety Council as well as the Service Excellence Council, we adopted, piloted, and implemented the practice of "Hourly Rounding". For our efforts in the Hourly Rounding initiative, we were granted the Presidential Focus on Excellence Award in 12/07.

Assisted Dr. Quan Nguyen in diagnosing, evaluating and treating patients with asthma, allergy, and immunologic diseases across the lifespan in an outpatient setting using evidence based practice. I performed Atopy Patch Testing (APT) in patients with suspected food sensitivities. I administered and analyzed Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) in patients with Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
