▪ Recruited and facilitated the hiring of over sixty faculty and staff, whose roles included, teacher, assistant teacher, technology coordinator, media specialist, special educator and others▪ Assisted with recruitment and admissions process for nearly 1200 students in two new charter schools

▪ Developed ACA governance, collaborative decision-making, alternative assessment, early intervention team and approach, curricula, family involvement, reflective practice for teachers, selection process for new teachers and strategic plan; and secured grants, including an Annenberg, totaling over $250,000. Began with state funded 3 and 4 year pre-kindergarten through 1st grade, and is now at its full capacity through 8th grade.▪ Created the ACA Chicago Public Small School proposal with input from seventy-five planning committee members▪ Laid the groundwork for the ACA Learning Network—community organizations, universities, schools, arts organizations, and social service agencies working together for ACA children and families

Led pre-kindergarten (including a separate Early Childhood Education Center) through twelfth grade independent school including upgrading the quality of the Harvard Early Childhood Center through support from the Erikson Institute; implementing new curricula; improving the financial stability of the school through fundraising and pro bono financial consulting; and consolidating the focus by closing the upper school.

Designed Perspectives School including experiential curricula, mentoring, internships and community service. Perspectives Charter School is now a successful network of five charter schools—boasting strong graduation, college acceptance and college persistence rates.
