I currently hold the role of Office Manager at We Do HR & We Do Health and Safety and am responsible for the daily management of administrative jobs, assisting the MD and performance management of staff; as well as continuing to provide HR advice and support to our clients when needed. I have worked as HR Support since January 2023 to September 2024, providing HR documentation and advice to ensure our clients remain HR compliant and up-to-date with changes in legislation and employment law.Prior to this role, I was a teacher for 8 years and taught children across KS2 and KS3, with a range of needs including SEN-D and G&T. I have held the roles of music, geography and history subject coordinator since 2014 and designed the music curriculum and corresponding assessment system for music across KS2 in my previous school. I have managed performance reviews for TA/LSAs who have worked in my classroom since 2018; and successfully led a team of teachers in a research project designed to encourage pupils to use more self-assessment to develop knowledge and understanding, with a view to also improving children’s engagement in lessons. I also led and managed the remote learning team for year 5 during National lockdown in spring 2021, organising and delegating planning to ensure pupils learning at home received the same curriculum as those in school. I worked towards my Masters in Education from 2018-2020, covering a range of topics including leadership and school development policies, and gained a 1st (Distinction).

I have been tutoring small groups and 1:1 for over three years, tailoring provision to the individuals, building confidence and self-esteem whilst developing students’ knowledge and understanding to mastery. The starting point doesn’t matter; it’s about working on the skills and strategies so your child is able to work and learn more independently when they take these skills into school. Covering mainly maths, reading, writing and SPaG, sessions can focus on one subject or several and are all personalised.DBS-enhanced checked and safeguarding training current and up-to-date. Whether temporary for preparation for Year 6 SATs, or for something more long-term in a different year group, contact me for a chat about what your child learning needs.

Primary School Teacher, Subject LeaderMoulsham Junior School Sep 2018 - Aug 2022Chelmsford, United KingdomFor the past 4 years I have worked in Year 3 and 5 at Moulsham Junior School, with pupils from more affluent backgrounds than my previous school. I worked in Year 3 in the academic year 2018-19, and in Year 5 from September 2019 to 2022.I used my own love of music and playing several instruments to support me in my role as Music coordinator; I organised a school-wide a Music Day in 2019, to promote a love of music and broaden experiences for all our pupils, and again led a Year 5 Music Day in January 2022. My Masters dissertation explored the impact of music on pupils’ progress and academic development, which I used to inform changes to the school curriculum.I have taken my previous experience from St Pius X to help further and nurture music in my new school. I also ran the school choir at Moulsham Junior School and in the past have taken them to local competitions and visited our local retirement home and engineering plant to perform at Christmastime, to develop and encourage their confidence and performing skills.During the second lockdown (spring term 2021), I led the year group team of ‘remote learning teachers’ (those supporting the pupils learning at home) in planning and producing the ‘remote learning curriculum’. This also involved communicating with pupils from my own class and another to ensure they received valuable support whilst learning at home, as their teacher was teaching keyworker children in school.I intend to take on new challenges in leadership in the near future, with a particular interest in taking on a new subject such as science or maths as my other specialist subjects (I studied both at A-Level) and becoming a phase leader/deputy headteacher.I am currently taking a short break from teaching to have a baby. -
