Estimated and Managed various projects including: Roadway reconstructs for Caltrans & other city/county/agency work within our region (Stockton Miner Ave Complete Streets); Roundabout construction (Modesto JC, Stockton, Plymouth); Airport pavement rehab & reconstructs (SCK various Apron & Taxiway improvements)

Interned with Kiewit in Summer 2003 and started full-time in 2004. From 2003-06 worked primarily on site development projects for private clients around the greater Sacramento area (Elk Grove, Rocklin, and Roseville; the large projects included College Square, Whitney Ranch, and Westpark). From 2007-11 worked on the first two phases of Folsom Dam SOD Modifications. Scope included: 10,000 LF rebuild of the chimney sand zones (downstream face of the existing wing dams that span to each side of the existing concrete dam); new spillway excavation - drill & shoot of 1.5 million CY of material and overall exc of 2.5 million CY; contractor-designed & constructed haul roads; 7,000 CY mass concrete cofferdam & 40,000 CY earth-filled cofferdam; rerouted the existing Natoma 48" steel pipeline sequenced with the new spillway exc; prefabricated bridges; 4EA 54" drilled shafts ranging 90-120' deep; slope stabilization including both soil nails & rock bolts along with occasional wire mesh & shotcrete for additional stabilization. From 2012-13 worked on a project in the oil sands of northern Alberta, Canada outside Ft. McMurray. Work continued day & night, year round through the harshest of winter working conditions. Scope was to upgrade portions of existing oil refinery from ground up including grading, piling, concrete foundations, utilities and then continued up with the new facilities. Along with overseeing portions of civil construction operations, also organized & managed permit process for construction work which is especially critical when working in an existing/live plant.Late 2013 worked on the Kitimat LNG (for BC, Canada location) pursuit which was a design-build proposal between KBR and Kiewit. Project team was stationed in Houston, TX for 7+ months. Late 2014 worked on the Jordan Cove LNG (for Coos Bay, OR location) pursuit which was a design-build proposal between Black & Veatch and Kiewit. Project team was stationed in Overland Park, KS for 7+ months.
