Formally known as Rogues Portal, Geek'd-Out is an entertainment website that covers geeky interests. Moving from a Contributing Writer position with RP to Games Editor at GO, my responsibilities entailed curating relationships with media delegates from various games studios, passing on review and interview opportunities to contributors, copy-editing, editing articles for accuracy and quality content, as well as contributing my own content and coverage to the website.

Responsible for generating articles on pop-culture with an emphasis on games and comics. These articles would range from Kickstarter spotlights, interviews with creators, content lists, announcements, and game reviews. These reviews would need to be completed in a timely manner, be thorough, and unbiased for the general audience.

Doing live events and shows with BOOM! Studios. Handling sales, engaging fans both current and new, responsible for booth set-up and take down, keeping track of stock and sales. During signings, responsible for handling creators and crowd control on the convention floor. In the off-season, would be keeping up to date on all the current and new titles, as well as backreading the BOOM! Studios catalogue in order to better interact with readers and their interests.

I was employed by Doctor Genius to write medically based articles based on topics within the medical and dental field. These articles had to be thoroughly researched for accuracy yet legible for a general audience. Articles were expected to be a minimum of 800 words with pre-assigned topics generated by clients within the healthcare industry.

Working live events and conventions with publisher Chapterhouse Comics. Handling convention sales, booth set up and take down, tracking stock, working with our creative team and leadership, and engaging new readers with comics at various shows throughout Canada. During these events I was also responsible for creating social media content to be posted live for panels and announcements.

I was hired in the role of document controller working in the Oil & Gas industry for Lauren Concise. I was responsible for tracking and organizing documents, managing project numbers, and as an intermediary with the drafters and engineers. I quickly advanced to on the job training for the role of Drafter, using auto-cad to implement project changes and modifications within the project design itself while continuing my role of Document Controller.
