Responsible for making sure everyone in the department can efficiently perform their job duties. This single position within the department requires expertise in a variety of areas, ranging from computer technology to interpersonal skills, which ensure all the various applications used are properly functioning and employees can comfortably execute their tasks in a timely manner. I filed, updated, completed and distributed confidential forms, correspondence and documents. I verified discrepancies and made corrections. Establishing and maintaining complex filing systems was a routine task of mine. I composed, formatted and typed various forms in the office. Operating and maintaining a variety of office equipment was mandatory. I attended and documented court proceedings. I trained other clerical staff to help cover my duties in my absence. Coordinating calendars was a monthly task of mine. I maintained account records, cash control, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Receiving incoming phone calls throughout the day was a constant. I assisted officers by setting up implementations every week for both pretrial and work furlough. Recording the collected information in our APETS (Adult Probation Tracking System) database to assist in the supervision of persons on pretrial release was a part of my job. I conducted record checks on the ACJIS machine for criminal histories. Various people came in on a daily basis, so excellent oral communication and people skills were needed to address various issues. Going to the jail pods to collect information was a daily part of my job.
