Providing a professional high quality customer service to all visitors to the library, including: carrying out a meet-and-greet service ensuring customer queries are answered efficiently; renewing and reserving books, dealing with membership additions/amendments and administering fines; carrying out organisational tasks such as shelving, tidying and determining and recording book deletions; setting up computer timeslot usage, providing instruction and resolving technical problems arising during these sessions; assisting in the organisation of promotional events (author visits and children’s events); dealing with difficult customers.

EHS&S internal and third-party supplier performance data collection, collation and interpretation; preparation and presentation of EHS&S reports; develop and improve data management systems and communicate this to the business; statistical monitoring of chemical/biological agents usage versus environmental benchmarks; involvement in the Occupational Hygiene programmes including on-site monitoring of lab processes; site visits to assess environmental risks, and report findings; lead the Biodiversity Committee and participate in the Sustainability Committee, and work to increase engagement of GSK’s sites; investigate and determine innovations to achieve sustainability commitments, and promote these to site colleagues.Key Achievements: • Produced a Covid-19 Site Risk Assessment Summary slide pack, summarising, in an accessible and succinct way, the key risks and recommended mitigation actions for GSK’s Research & Development site at Ware. Following its successful implementation, the slide pack has been edited for use at multiple UK R&D sites.• Collected information from quarterly Sustainability Committee meetings, and used this to create concise, informative Sustainability Newsletters, then distributed to Ware and Stevenage R&D sites.• Undertook ongoing extensive and comprehensive use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, in data analysis, report writing and formulating presentations.
