A guest service agent is a highly important and rewarding role. This role with the IHG company requires an abundance of skills. Skills such as listening, showing empathy/ understanding and solving problems in a effective and appropriate manner. This role is all about leaving a good impression on the guest when they enter and leave the hotel, making sure that they had a pleasant stay.

The role of a concierge is being able to connect and deliver high quality service to all guests within the hotel. This role involves knowledge about activities and sites on the Gold Coast. It also requires a welcoming presence, helpful service and getting to know guests requirements so they can have the best stay possible.

This role involves communicating effectively over the phone, delegating jobs appropriately to the correct departments and solving problems while delivering the best service possible.

This job required myself to handle working with many types of people, dealing with busy situations and having to take initiative where needed. It provided me with the ability to have a better understanding of how to approach situations in the best manner, whilst teaching me how to sell products and reach sale goals required.
