I am responsible for triaging incoming primary care complaints and concerns, monitoring and updating the complaints system, speaking and listening to complainants, patients and carers to discuss their concerns, liaising with external providers and commissioners and drafting lengthy complaint response letters. I also deal with specialised commissioning complaints, co-ordinate multi-agency complaints and attend violent patient scheme appeal panels. I am responsible for recruiting and training new staff and currently line manage an administrator and support another band 5 co-ordinator with their workload.
