Makai specializes in C5ISR services, DoD systems integration, business analytics, and the modernization of wired and wireless government networks. Makai provides professional services and technical expertise in mobile/edge computing (deployable 5G), systems engineering, cybersecurity, data migration and storage, software development (DevSecOps), and process improvement.Makai's Hardened Operational Networking Unit (HONU) is a secure, edge-compute platform that leverages 5G and commercial SATCOM to enhance data collection and transmission to improve C2 capabilities in austere environments.

Responsible for leading Kekoa Foundation's strategic give back initiatives within the Native Hawaiian community. Additionally, responsible for oversight of Kekoa Foundation's subsidiary companies. The Kekoa Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support, promote, and advance the overall welfare and economic condition of Native Hawaiians in the State of Hawaii through programs focused on STEM education, workforce development and career broadening, and cultural preservation.

Leadership responsibilities included: liaising with senior leaders from Hanscom AFB and other Defense agencies around Greater Boston, coordinating speakers and sponsors for monthly HRA luncheons, communicating with HRA members and industry partners, and managing the HRA's annual operating budget.

Assisted government, industry, and venture capital communities with engaging and working with UMLRI's Northstar Campus. Northstar Campus is a startup incubator located 1/4 mile from Hanscom AFB. As an active member of the Boston defense ecosystem they offer collaborative and flexible workspace and facilitate tech demos, networking, thought leadership, and collaboration between government customers and dual-use startups. Northstar's SBIR Center of Excellence assists startups with navigating the SBIR process by providing proposal writing, marketing, and customer engagement support.
