BACKGROUNDAt a young age, Stephanie knew her calling was working to educate others. Through numerous years of participating as a leader in various community and professional settings she acknowledges her skill set aligned with those in the field of education. The most rewarding aspect of this career direction was building better lives for everyone she worked with. To live a life with purpose and direction through clearly setting goals and reaching them has been the driving force behind her professional success. Stephanie earned her undergraduate degree in 2010 and most recently her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Setting goals at an attainable level is an important aspect to her success. After graduation, Stephanie worked in many schools seeking the right fit for her passion. As a substitute teacher in both private schools and public schools she was able to gain perspective into the teaching styles of many veteran teachers she was working with daily. This opportunity led her to a tenure position with Troy 30c School District. Each day, she is working to build her knowledge and pedagogy of teaching through experiences teaching in many different academic settings. Currently, she teaches an inclusive elementary classroom full time at a small community public school in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. While also teaching for Roosevelt University as an adjunct instructor to their AuPair Weekend Program. Teaching is both her calling and her passion. Presently, Stephanie is working to build her resume with Leadership experience and move on to new challenges. She continually seeks out new learning opportunities and has numerous professional interests.
