The program provides a structured and protective setting to begin detoxification while providing parents the opportunity to be involved in the process. The youth will receive assessments and further treatment recommendations when they discharge from the program. • Behavioural and crisis management in a locked program setting• Teach living and social skills by assessing skill deficits• Facilitate group counselling and1:1 counselling with youth including experiential activities, DBT skills training and utilizing motivational interviewing• Supervise, organize and implement daily activity programming• Provide support to parents, guardians and families, as well as the youth• Work closely with Alberta Health Services, Youth Addiction Service counsellors including consultation and collaboration regarding clients and developing treatment groups• Individual program planning based on the trans-theoretical change model, including providing resources and referrals • Write daily reports and discharge reports on the youth• Implement the NMT model into the PChAD program with support from Hull’s clinical NMT staff including training staff • Formal supervision and training of staff in the moment, monthly evaluations and annual evaluations• Liaison between front line and senior staff• Responsible for supervisory and administrative duties in absence of the Program Coordinator; • In absence of Program Coordinator/Program Director; makes decisions re: Program changes and individual cases.• Overall coordination of activities on shift and monitor systems

    A residential 10-day, voluntary detox and stabilization program in partnership with AHS Youth Addiction Services for youth ages 12-19. Staff provides a safe and healthy detox, emotionally and physically.     A trauma informed, attachment based residential program serving children between the ages of 6-12. These children enter the program due to extreme maladaptive behaviours such as aggression, attachment issues and other unsafe behaviours generally due to early childhood trauma.
