Board MemberAce Mentor Program Of Dfw Aug 2008 - PresentThe mission of ACE is to engage, excite and enlighten high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering and construction through mentoring and to support their continued advancement in the industry.The ACE Mentor Program of DFW is comprised of approximately 100 juniors and seniors from various high schools in the metroplex, along with approximately 50 mentors from several DFW A/C/E firms. The mentors meet and work with the students once a week for 20 weeks (October thru April) and walk them thru a design project. We also utilize hands on activities to showcase numerous disciplines. For example, we have built a brick wall, built beams from styrofoam, done some sandbox grading, etc. This program also offers students opportunities for scholarships to attend trade school or college in one of the ACE fields.We are always looking for companies to sponsor ACE, Architects, Engineers and Contractors to mentor the students and schools that would like to participate.If you would like any information about how to get involved, please message me!
