-Act as subject matter expert advising Walmart with fair, balanced, analytical approach to grow total category sales and grow market share. -Provide thought leadership using cross-functional counterparts to deliver impactful recommendations to the buyer and Walmart leadership. -Provide insights to various channel dymanics and gaps through store visits, internal operations and syndicated data (NPD, IRI, Numerator and NPD Car Care Track Panel). -Conduct in-depth analyis of customer data to consider new distribution, promotion, trends and competitive analysis. -Develop Category Business review to support buyer in creating category strategy with recommendations to optimize mix, packaging, space allocation, merchandising and pricing to reach targeted customer.-Own all aspects of modular development process, assortment and cluster recommendations.

Provide WalMart buyer with actionable reporting, performance insights & marketplace analysis to grow category; deliver weekly performance reports & key insights to buyer; own all aspects of modular development including sales to space analysis, item recommendations, traiting, spacing, on shelf merchandising & POG creation; conduct frequent analysis of marketplace trends, competitor assortment, pricing & advertising intensity; recap new item & planogram performance as well as category promotions

Create Financial Plans at category, subcategory, fineline & item level based on trend & history; manage category financials (sales, markdowns, DC purchases, store receipts, margin, turns & gross profit); track monthly store receipts & DC purchases; complete by item forecast; quarterly prebuy analysis at item level including size/color breakdown with purchase recommendations; complete all purchases in ADS; prepare financial documentation & participate in qtrly COE, Vision & Line Reviews; communicate daily with suppliers, replenishment, GP & PD.

Perform category sales analysis using sales history, manage markdowns, rollbacks, new item & modular rollout, assist buyer in line review & planning of purchases, submit materials & follow-up for marketing circulars & Guides, monitor store inventory vs. sales; recommend product placement based on sales, constant communication & partnership with Operations, student of consumer based on trend.

Balance inventories for 2700 stores based on sales trend analysis & size class, manage inventory flow & allocation for six DC’s, ship merchandise by developing placement groups based on timing and calendar, run DSS sales and inventory reports to maximize sales, monitor daily, weekly, and monthly shipping budgets vs. sales.
