As a trusted advisor to client senior leadership, spearhead broad range of litigation: complex commercial, hard and soft IP and trade secret (offensive and defensive), privacy, and securities. In partnership with clients' legal, compliance and risk management teams, lead internal investigations prompted by compliance programs and regulatory inquiries, including FCPA, tax, employment and antitrust. Recognized for exceptional advice on pre-litigation strategy, and thoughtful risk-balancing approaches to avoid litigation entirely.

Direct responsibility for managing major litigation matters including consumer class actions, vendor and dealer disputes, regulatory complaints and internal investigations. Perform risk evaluation, develop appropriate responses, and advise business and executives. Attend and direct negotiation strategy in mediations and arbitrations. Responsible for implementing enterprise-wide records management policy, and developed and led training for entire legal department on records management and legal hold procedures.

Represent clients in all phases of litigation including antitrust inquiries, commercial and contract claims, professional liability actions, intellectual property disputes, securities suits and internal investigations.

Managed caseload of over seventy defendants; negotiated pleas with defense counsel; drafted briefs and argued motions; prosecuted bench trials; handled pre-trial conferences, arraignments, bail hearings, and pleas; interviewed and prepared witnesses for trial.

Represented indigent clients in show-cause hearings and welfare fraud investigations. Assisted clients from initial intake through hearing; investigated cases - interviewed witnesses, visited crime scenes, consulted police; prepared and delivered opening and closing arguments, performed direct and cross examination of witnesses.
