• Created and manage the VMAC Participant Registry – a REDCap database of 2,900 older adults who are interested in participating in memory research studies at VMAC.• Enroll middle-age and older adults into the Registry, interviewing participants about demographic information, detailed medical history, and performing TICS cognitive testing to determine which studies to refer participants to.o Personally enrolled over 1,300 of the current participants.• Train other team members to pre-screen and enroll participants into VMAC Registry, as well as overseeing quality of the interviews by teammates and providing feedback on what was done well and what needs improvement. • Approach appropriate patients during clinic visits about participating in research at VMAC, utilizing StarPanel.• Make referrals of VMAC research participants to appropriate cognitive research studies, and liaison with research coordinators to make sure referral process is clear and effective.o Over 1,600 to date are either currently participating in or have completed a study.• Organize and coordinate annual Memory Loss Awareness Event – a community education outreach event for those experiencing memory changes in Nashville community.• Develop relationships with community organizations for opportunities to hold community events and to gain knowledge of local resources available to older adults experiencing memory loss.• Provide VMAC participants who have memory concerns with neurology clinic information, the process of getting a referral, and what is involved in a memory loss workup.• Organize lay-audience community-based presentations for education outreach on memory loss.• Prepare and maintain IRB documentation of recruitment and referrals of VMAC research participants.
