Scheduled bi-weekly lesson plans based on the Pre-K curriculum, which included having language arts, mathematics, art, social sciences, science and technology as well as computer skills. Communicated with students parents daily about the child's day, letting them become aware of their accomplishments and aspects that to be worked on.Established open communication between the co-lead teacher within the classroom, in addition to the Preschool and the Get-Set teachers. Established and reaffirmed past classroom management to ensure a safe physical, social and emotional environment for the students.Provided behavioral documentation to further assist the child to grow and adapt in those areas. Asses students academic strengths and hold conferences with parents.

As a short term substitute teacher I scheduled daily plans for students, based on the first grade academic curriculum; which included language arts, which included a Readers Workshop in addition to having the students commence in a grand conversation on a book; Words ThereWay, Handwriting without Tears, Math in Focus, the Singapore approach; science, and social studies. I also instructed support to students during intervention times in handwriting and sight-words recognition. At the end of the year I managed report card scoring for the student's within the class; in addition, given written comments to each student on their progress within the past trimester.I enacted and reaffirmed past classroom management with the students, providinga stable learning environment, allowing students self-esteem and learning to grow,develop and mature. I oversaw end of year assessments such as Fountas and Pinnell's reading records,Words Their Way, a phonics program; and writing. In addition to this, I scored assessments for each students and inputted them into the schools data sheet for the next years teacher.While teaching I mediated as teacher during required teacher meeting, discussing students in SRBI and 504's for the upcoming year.Lastly I participated in all professional development opportunities given within the school,such as a Jen Serravallo reading and writing training; as well as attending schoolsgrade level meetings.

I provide teaching for preK – second grade students in subject areas such aslanguage arts, mathematics, handwriting, science, social studies, physicaleducation, music, and library media. While in those day positions I promoted a safe learning environment by adhering to the rules set by the class and the main teacher. I also developed temporary classroom management for classes, through promoting student accountability in all aspects of the school day.As a Substitute teacher I challenge students to make connections between class learning to their day-to-day lives; as well as engaging the students and monitoring student's participation in learning activities.I also assisted students in a one-on-one setting to promote independent learning as well asaiding them when needed.
