• Assess, screen and consent patients for TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) procedures in outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital setting.• Supervised and delegated to TAVR team, including Medical Assistant’s and Administrative Assistant’s, to ensure work was complete.• Educate patients and their families on the TAVR procedure and on other types of cardiac surgery.• Assist and serve as primary contact for patients and their families from first consult through OR and five years of post-operative follow up.• Coordinate care between multiple doctors to ensure TAVR work up is complete for all patients.• Responsible for maintaining OR schedule and working to ensure there is representative coverage at each OR case.• Responsible for maintaining statistical data related to the TAVR program, including mortality and morbidity statistics and adverse events.• Maintain communication between Materials Management and multiple company representatives to ensure proper device ordering and storage for each case.• Complete power point presentations on each potential TAVR patient and present each patient at weekly multi-site meetings.• Currently responsible for a case load of approximately 50 preoperative patients, and approximately 600 post-operative patients.• Enter all applicable data into the TVT Registry for CMS oversight.
