Job took place in the Fort Drum Military Installation training areas. I helped survey for wood turtles and attach transmitters to them. Hoop nets and transect lines were used to survey for turtles. I took body measurements and helped track them to determine their home ranges. This job required hiking on uneven terrain with bulky equipment. The environment contained poison ivy, stinging nettle, mosquitoes, biting flies, ticks, and various weather conditions. I frequently used kayaks and canoes to assist with surveying.

Kick sampling and a Ponar Grab were used for surveying for macroinvertebrates. I frequently used kayaks and canoes to assist with surveying.
