I've been working full-time as an Administrative Assistant at St Thomas More since 2013. In January, 2019 I was officially promoted to Business Manager.I still retain my commission as a Notary Public in the State of California.

I am one of two leaders of the website ministry at my church. My paid website position involves daily updates to the website and responding to queries that come in via email.On a volunteer basis I lead the "public" portion of the ministry. I am charged with promoting the website and encouraging other ministries to avail themselves of the site, recruit other volunteers, and maintaining Ministry Page security credentials.In my receptionist position, I answer the telephones, answer questions, refer calls to the appropriate personnel or agencies, greet walk-ins, update and maintain various databases.

Handled Workers' Compensation Claims - initially for craftsmen and gardeners and then takeover claims for UPS and UPS Freight

Workers Compensation Defense Law firm - assisted 5 attorneys with various litigation issues including lien negoatiation, preparation of legal documents

Supervised Workers Compensation adjusters, trainees and clerical staff assigned to one of the K-Mart units.

Managed the WC unit in the Orange, CA office including technical and clerical employees. The accounts were USA subsidiaries of Japanese based businesses.

Began as a claim clerk typing checks and through education and professional development coursework became an adjuster handling primarily workers' compensation claims with some 3rd party liability, auto, property and subrogation cases. Was promoted to supervisor and transferred from MN in 1988 to CA. Several months later the office was moved to UT. Was a member of the team that opened, staffed and trained the Salt Lake City office. Was transferred back to CA in 1992. Was responsible for the workers' compensation line of business in the Orange, CA office as well as the TPA operations contracted to vendors in HI, AK, OR, ID, MT, NM. As a manager was responsible for all aspects of the department, customer service, claim reviews, home office audits of other offices. Participated in marketing of new business with underwriting, loss prevention and premium audit.
