In May 2023, after the acquisition of NWEA (to HMH), I decided to invest in a small business of antiques, reselling/retail and auctions. I have been mentored by small business owners and retail managers during this process. While I am still interested in working a more permanent position, I am grateful to have used this time off to elaborate my time management and collaboration skills, and add skills best learned while being self-employed.
