Currently working as a Research Scientist/Principal Investigator with The Henry M. Jackson Foundation at USAMRIID in Viral Immunology. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Rochester studying the role of the poxvirus extracellular virion specific glycoproteins for infectivity and pathogenesis. During my time as a Ph.D student, I also graduated with an M.P.H. My thesis was done in collaboration with an international non-profit, Humans for Education, where I examined the impact of a school-based intervention in Kenya on financial, education, and health outcomes, and I received an award in recognition of this work. I also have experience in industry, and I have previously worked for a Contract Research Organization focused on pharmaceutical and product development. Following my PhD I started a Postdoctoral Fellowship with The Geneva Foundation/USAMRIID where my goal is to develop monoclonal antibody therapeutics and vaccines against emerging viruses of particular importance to the Department of Defense.
