Throughout my career, my favorite part of my jobs has been the people—my team and coworkers, as well as my vendors and 3rd party agencies. I look forward to interacting with them each day, seeing how we can collaborate to make our business continue to be successful. I also like team building and mentoring, helping my employees find a successful career path within the company. Currently, I’m the Corporate Buying Director at ALDI. I started my career with the company as a District Manager over four to six stores and was promoted to their corporate headquarters where I’ve gained experience across multiple departments, having held two other positions there. I’m now responsible for the entire product life cycle of canned fruit/vegetables, shelf stable pickles, olives and peppers carried by ALDI. This includes category management, selecting our suppliers, agreeing on prices, developing package design and extensive reporting and analysis. I also oversee artwork and design and manage the relationships with our design agency partners for the brands within my category as well as for ALDI’s “hero” brands. At ALDI, I’ve gained experience across multiple departments, resulting in a big-picture understanding of the business and its objectives. I’ve been able to use my strategic planning and process improvement skills, seeing first-hand how the changes I make affect the company and its bottom line.
