I am an Assistant Professor with expertise in bioinformatics, virology, molecular biology, population genetics, and field ecology. I have an interest in public health relating to infectious diseases, particularly in rural communities both domestic and abroad. I have contributed to more than 30+ scientific publications and I am Co-PI of the NSF BII Viral Emergence Research Institute. I am passionate about leadership and promoting diversity in the sciences.
