With over eight years of experience as an Officer in the Royal Australian Navy, I have been in many situations and positions requiring me to exhibit operational management, leadership and exemplary communication skills. Throughout my time as a Maritime Warfare Officer, I have proven myself to be a decisive decision maker and a critical thinker who can solve complex problems, particularly in challenging workplace environments, and as someone who drives team performance and individual excellence. I have gained operational experience working in both physically and mentally demanding environments, including at sea and behind a desk in the operational headquarters, requiring me to use systems such as RADAR and electronic navigational charts, as well as expert Microsoft Office skills to create presentations, briefs and write minutes and administration instructions. With safety a critical component in the Defence force, I also have experience with WHS.I am seeking to leverage extensive experience in communication, decision-making, leadership, resource use and management skills for a new career pathway.
