As a program facilitator for the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County, I am responsible for conveying a plethora of high-quality and culturally responsive lessons to underrepresented communities (elementary and middle school ages.) This is done in partnership with schools and communities to combat barriers to participating in Girl Scouts such as transportation or finances. Some of these activities include healthy relationships, financial literacy, STEM, being a leader, self-esteem, and even problem-solving skills.
