Working closely with the Emergency, Psychiatry, Junior and Middle Grade Permanent Consultants I was responsible for assisting with all paperwork and credentialing associated with a permanent placement. I was responsible for ensuring that the medical practitioners placed in Australia and New Zealand hold the required standing with the relevant regulatory bodies as well as the necessary working rights

I was responsible for assisting with the registration process for International Medical Graduates such as lodging applications with the relevant colleges, AHPRA and Medicare. This role involved communicating with various organisations as well as close attention to detail to make sure all applications were lodged correctly.

In this varied role my responsibilities changed as the flu season progressed. Duties included preparing and running payroll for up to 300 staff members on a fortnightly basis including processing all expenses as well as running daily and monthly bank reconciliations. I was also responsible for updating and maintaining the database making sure all relevant and necessary medical training documents, certificates and personal details had been obtained. Within the office I was tasked with interviewing, recruiting, inducting and on occasions training new members of staff.
