I worked on a variety of outreach activities including playing an integral role in the development of UK Food Science. I used a variety of different media to deliver presentations, webinars and activities and managed a variety of social media accounts relating to UK Food Science and the FNS department at University of Reading. I helped develop teaching materials for both undergraduate and Masters students and both filmed and edited videos to aid the student's learning experience and to help them develop core laboratory skills. I also provided pastoral care and academic support to all students within the Food and Nutritional Sciences department.

Over the last 3 years I have had experience of both in-person and virtual open days. I developed an online summer school in the summer of 2020. I have produced a number of films for the department to aid with the advertisement of the courses as well as showing laboratory and pilot plant procedures.

Funded 10 week opportunity to co-lead a nutritional study at the High Sinclair Unit of Nutrition. Project title: The effects of different macronutrients on satiety in both younger and older adults. Was involved in every step of the study from recruitment, study design, data collection and data analysis.

Taught practical microbiology sessions within schools to help aid their understanding of the important of food science. Advertised the University of Reading and the Food and Nutritional Sciences department with the hope to increase the intake numbers for the department.
