Stephanie Psomas has been with Pamela Burton & Company since 1987. As Director of Operations, she heads the firm's project development efforts and oversees office dynamics. Day-to-day human resource and office management responsibilities, paired with marketing needs, require her accessibility by staff and clients, alike. Health insurance, professional insurance and benefits packages are frequently examined and handled, in concert with administrative support and service provider agents.Stephanie also performs the role of Project Director for some of Pamela Burton and Company's major projects. She lends her expertise in specification writing and budgeting analysis to staff, assisting in the assembly and quality control for most office projects. She has been responsible for construction documents and construction observation for many institutional and commercial clients, as well as numerous projects for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. All of these projects required extensive coordination with user groups and facilities maintenance departments to meet their site requirements. Her understanding of grounds department concerns with water-use, material up-keep and replacement, and with security issues helps to ensure the design of environments that will stand the test of time and limited care. A passion for horticulture and the wealth of plant materials that thrive in our Southern California climate lead Stephanie to an on-going quest for more trees and shrubs that we can incorporate into our projects. An inveterate observer of how trees and shrubs thrive in ideal or challenging conditions, she reviews each site with a critical eye.
