Annual certification and licenses held by brokers were also kept track of. A Watch List component was also built into the system. The data for MIC was loaded into Oracle RDB databases on the DEC - Alpha using DCL, SQL, Cobol and C programs. Essbase used Rexx scripts, EssCommands, Load Rules and Calc Scripts to populate its cubes. Connection to the File Servers were via TCP/IP and access to the MIC data was done through the middleware products called Edalink, located on the PC, and EDA/SQL, located on the Alpha. The desktop products used to access MIC were Focus for Windows and Focus EIS. For Essbase, an Excel front end accessed the data. Subsequently, converted MIC to the vendor written application called Level Down Reporting Wizard (LDRW). Spent the year managing the vendor (Meridian), and the Financial Information Systems Group (LOB).
