While many of my freelance work is on a more consistent basis, I do get off-hand, one-time jobs. For example, I have written editorials for The Mary Sue, an essay for RockChuck Summit, ghost-wrote a blog post for a realtor, edited essays for students, and other various projects. Though quarantine has halted the project, 231 Magazine was made to become a new kind of lifestyle magazine for people in Northern Michigan. One way the monthly journal did this was by having an environmentalist columnist (me) contribute an article each month to talk about environmental issues that effect Michiganders every day.

Using my writing and editing skills, I fostered friendly, conversational script-writing at Crealon Media. I specialized in writing about science fiction entertainment, but I also wrote scripts for celebrity news, reviews, meme videos, and more. Bingy, ShowGeek, and ShowFleek were the channels I wrote and edited for, at one point or another. To follow YouTube trends, our style was constantly changing and I worked with managers to match my style to each transition.

Whether I was writing reviews, opinion pieces, listicles, or any other article at NerdBastards, every story was filled with energy and passion, to help NerdBastards reach its goal of inspiring and engaging the fans of everything we talked about. At HigherEducation I wrote the content for college ratings sites. This gig was a great lesson in time management and the type of writing I wanted to do. While I left when my contract was up, the experience was a worthwhile teaching experience to get me into online publishing and how to manage working remotely.

I worked on editing, writing, and coordinating the blog for the literary journal. I also worked to help coordinate other communications efforts and did some contributor editing and author communication.

I worked with marketing, communications, editing, and writing to better the voice and internal documents of RHS Sustainability. I write emails, summaries, create designs and documents, and get most all rhetorical and communicative aspects of the department polished and ready for distribution. I am very proud of my work here and am very help to help out the department to better the sustainability climate of MSU.

I worked in the Writing Center, helping students at MSU work through their papers and assisting in bettering their pieces. What we worked on depended on the student; some days it was grammar, other days structure, other days brainstorming. The work was very centered around the student and giving them the assistance that would help them most.

I wrote and collected content for the blog of the environmental science minor on campus, known as RISE. We have a website where we post 'sustainable stories' to promote sustainability as well as RISE itself, making people more aware and possibly even draw in new members for the coming year.
