Working with the trustees to develop their policies and procedures ensuring best practice is embedded and potential future issues are avoided.• Navigating the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation to ensure compliance with the imminent changes. Developing robust policies and processes with the trustees to guarantee on-going data security, integrity and consistency.• Providing support and advice on business and HR matters to a small start-up. In a nutshell: Building relationships with the business at all levels to understand business goals and development needs; conducting LNAs, designing, delivering and evaluating blended learning solutions or sourcing external suppliers to provide valuable and rich learning experiences.Key Achievements: • Saving the business £11k per practice by creating bespoke case studies to be used in the internal MEDAL management training programme. Using my knowledge of thinking preferences to create realistic characters and scenarios that reflected issues the delegates were facing whilst ensuring they could practice the core skills from each of the 7 modules. • Coaching Practice Leaders as some of my first internal clients. Working with them in difficult circumstances to develop and realise their management and leadership goals which led to receiving positive and complementary feedback. • Facilitating learning sessions both face to face and via WebEx and telepresence, including the flagship MEDAL management training programme - personally delivering to circa 80 managers of all levels. • Autonomously developing my digital learning skills by creating bitesize e-learning pieces using GoMo and Captivate. Finding solutions to work around technology issues such as sound recording to deliver a high quality product which can be viewed by the entire business. • Leading a project team to deliver a well-received Learning at Work Week on the topic of wellbeing. Ensuring a strong strategy and focus that built on previous success, whilst remaining in budget. Encouraging the team to continue to deliver despite some being put at risk of redundancy during the delivery week. • Managing the team budget; balancing the needs of Finance for forecasting, detail and accuracy with the need for the team to be flexible and meet the shifting needs of the business.

In a nutshell: Embedding the CEB Professional Standards scheme in the business, working with champions, Practice Leaders and the Board to ensure understanding of the importance and relevance of the scheme to their areas and confirming key elements of the scheme were complied with. Key Achievements• Taking responsibility for the development of an implementation strategy and collateral when management was refocussed on other projects. • Simplifying the 90 page framework to a document accessible to all employees and creating best practice guides which supported managers and employees to live out the scheme in their everyday working lives.• Achieving 97% of over 400 role profiles completed in conjunction with the business. Role profiles were at the core of the scheme and therefore this was a significant milestone.

In a nutshell: Providing executive assistant support to the Finance Director and ensuring continuity throughout the transition period from Bluefin to Capita on non-employee relations HR matters.Key Achievements• Bringing the recruitment processes in the merging businesses under control by working closely with managers, the finance team and the internal recruitment division. Ensuring new processes were communicated effectively internally and ‘leakage’ was kept to a minimum.• Acting as the internal client for the flexible benefits scheme and ensuring a fit for purpose auto enrolment solution was implemented. Managing the internal relationships between Capita Group, implementation, Flex and Health Management Consultants and the Board to deliver a high quality flexible benefits scheme.

In a nutshell: Truly generalist position providing a comprehensive and pro-active HR service to a client group of circa 300 employees across 6 offices. Advising Senior Managers daily on discipline, grievance and other people issues.Key Achievements• Proposing a new strategy for the HR team which was accepted and implemented, creating more interesting and fulfilling work for the entire team.• Successfully leading a small scale TUPE transfer with very short notice and whilst my manager was away.• Designing and participating in an actuarial graduate recruitment day including skills tests, group exercises and competency based interviews.
