I work for the world I’d like to see. Whether it was working as an AmeriCorps member in Title I schools in my hometown or as a Peace Corps volunteer in the southeastern coast of Madagascar, I’ve learned to see and work at the intersections of issues leading to a more just and thriving society. Gender inequality, racism, and school attendance. Poverty, nutrition, and climate change. Immigration, English proficiency, and employment opportunity. My recent graduate degree in anthropology gave me the tools to analyze various social and environmental issues alongside one another as well as the research and writing skills to push for more equitable policies and practices. I aspire to work for social justice minded organizations broadly defined alongside community partners. With a background in engaging learners at the middle school, high school, and university level both nationally and internationally, I am primed to pursue more meaningful intergenerational community engagement and cross-cultural outreach as we define a more equitable world for all, together.
