About Stephanie Savell

I'm an editor with 7+ years' experience in academic, technical, and creative editing and a multi-genre writer with a focus in fiction and nonfiction. I'm seeking a full-time position that will allow me to utilize my skills as both writer and editor - as someone who can re-vision a project or simply fine-tune the details. As a graduate of the MFA program in Creative Writing, Editing, and Publishing at Sam Houston State University, I'm excited to pursue a career that closely aligns with my skillset and interests. I bring to the table a variety of editorial experience from my time as an editorial assistant at Sam Houston State University’s Texas Review Press, assistant editor at the literary journal the Texas Review, the autonomous editor of the in-house literary magazine Beacon: The Sam Houston State Review, Editor II at the state-funded college and career readiness initiative Texas OnCourse, and as a digital content reviewer for Aquent at Microsoft.Outside of work, I'm an avid tabletop role-player and DM who uses her creativity and love of cooperative storytelling to bring imaginary worlds to life. Please feel free to reach out to me via LinkedIn Messenger if you're interested in working together or would like to better get to know me.
