With over eight years of experience in mathematics education, I am a passionate and dedicated teacher who strives to make math accessible and enjoyable for all students. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on teaching students with disabilities, and I am certified by the Utah State Board of Education as an Associate Educator. I value collaborative problem solving, organization skills, and critical thinking as essential competencies for math learning and teaching. I am currently a mathematics teacher at Solstice RTC, a residential treatment center for adolescent girls, where I aim to create a supportive and empowering learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth.At Solstice RTC, I teach math courses ranging from pre-algebra to calculus. I design and implement engaging and differentiated instruction that meets the diverse needs and interests of my students, using various modalities and technologies. I also collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and staff to provide holistic and individualized support for each student. In addition, I have been a math instructor at Academic Resources, Inc. since 2017, where I have tutored hundreds of students in various math subjects and standardized tests, and also served as a lead instructional designer for online math courses.
