Three things I love about being an Escrow Officer:1. Helping people: It is such a rewarding experience helping buyers and sellers navigate the real estate closing process. Consistent and concise communication are the keys I use to ensure a successful transaction for all involved. By communicating effectively, I am setting clear expectations, building trust and confidence in the process, minimizing issues and preventing delays. 2. Never a dull moment: As an Escrow Officer, I am responsible for a vast number of duties involving; reviewing title commitments, clearing title defects, making sure all timelines of the contract are met, communicating and coordinating with customers and industry professionals, preparing/balancing closing disclosures, reviewing and assembling closing packages, personally closing transactions, and funding/disbursing loans. In addition, each transaction is unique and many have challenges. All of this keeps the job interesting and engaging for me. 3. Building and maintaining relationships: I'm most proud of the relationships I've built over the span of my career. I have a talent for connecting with people, providing outstanding service, and exceeding expectations. Fostering these relationships has resulted in repeat business and referrals.Three things I love to pursue outside of work:1. Antiquing: On any given Saturday you can usually find me at one, or two, of the numerous antique stores near me. Although I admire all antiques, I have a special affinity for European antiques specifically from France or Italy.2. Reading: No matter what is going on or how many chores await me, I take time everyday to put my nose in a book. My favorite genre being literary fiction. This is my preferred way to unwind and take some time for myself.3. Scrolling through Reddit. I know my time could be better spent, but it is my guilty pleasure and I can't quit.
