For 35 years, the Alabama Policy Institute has fought for good public policy solutions throughout the state of Alabama. API is a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational and research organization committed to free markets, limited government, and strong families. API reaches its goal of sound public policy through research, advocacy, and public education efforts. API is Alabama's authority on conservative governance; the organization effectuates policies that protect fairness, freedom, and families.

Governmental, grassroots, campaign management, public relations, and PAC management. Direct lobbying experience in DC and eleven states including state legislative bodies, executive branches, and Congressional Delegations. Extensive experience managing political action committees, public financial entities, employees, budgets, and volunteers. Execution of local, statewide, and national grassroots, media and public relations campaigns. Economic development, fundraising, campaign management, public spokesperson and media relations.

Founder of and Co-chairman and/or Chairman of Westminster Community life (WCL) for four years. WCL fulfilled the vision of the founders as a volunteer group that seeks to aid faculty and staff and build community between families at Westminster School at Oak Mountain. Event concept development, coordination and management for school-wide and community-wide events. Coordinated the delivery of over 1000 meals, notes of appreciation and gifts to faculty and staff annually. Recruited, organized, and managed 160-200 volunteers annually.

Responsible for the organization and implementation of school-wide events. Managed volunteers and coordinated financial development events and educational seminars.

Political campaign advisor and manager.

Served as deputy to the chief financial officer of the state of Alabama over 13 divisions and 350 employees. Advisor to the Governor and state agencies on budget proposals and legislative management. Responsible for the navigation of the state's budgets from their development through the legislative process. Lead economic development and public finance coordinator for the Department of Finance.

Planned and implemented an annual program of work to be conducted by staff and volunteers, developed professional relationships with community leaders, served as a spokesperson for the Chamber, served as an economic development leader for the O/A Region, and managed the personnel and finances of the organization.

Represented Regions Financial (S&P 500, NYSE: RF) before state government officials in 11 states. Built and managed the corporate PAC and corporate grassroots programs. Led participation in state associations and banking/business coalitions. Directed political contributions and ensured compliance with ethics and campaign finance laws. Facilitated executive engagement and counseled senior business leaders and corporate attorneys regarding public policy and political affairs.
