In December 2012, I joined Zelos, a woman-owned small business performing consulting and training for government and non-profits, as Strategic Advisor to the CEO. Provide a range of strategic and advisory support as well as networking, marketing, and outreach services in furtherance of Zelos’ business strategy as a solutions-based company known for helping its clients realize improved performance and results.

As a transformational and visionary leader within the Federal human resources community, I sought out challenges involving creativity and innovation. I was particularly interested in the evolving role of human resource professionals and how HR can, and must, continue to add value and forge partnerships with all levels of agency personnel to find solutions to complex workforce challenges impacting mission effectiveness. My unique expertise has included HQ and field perspectives; large and small agency settings; policy and operational environments; supervisory roles as well as influence leader, encompassed virtually all HR functional areas; and has involved close working relationships with a variety of OPM and federal agency employees and leaders. I served as a catalyst for change and stayed abreast of trends and innovations in the human resources field and cultivated a wide network of colleagues across multiple agencies. I have devised novel approaches and methods to create and implement workforce changes to increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency while providing ample room for creativity, flexibility, ongoing communications and innovation. I am skilled in group facilitation; oral and written communications; briefings (large and small); collaboration with diverse networks; strategic and critical thinking; understanding the big picture and connecting various threads; customer focus and business partnerships; and measurements/metrics. Specific accomplishments while serving as Human Capital Strategist at NASA Headquarters include the smooth transition to a shared services operating model, managing the Center-wide executive level HR Advisory Group and guiding impactful improvements in employee satisfaction, supervisory enrichment, staff development,and accountability. Developed and implemented the virtual, no cost NASA-wide HRUniversity, and was a key member of the Federal wide HRU chartered by the Chief Human Capital Officers' Council.
